The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (CAS) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who provide personal information to it, including those who provide personal information to it via its websites (Sites).
CAS is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all applicable principles governing the handling of personal information. This Privacy Policy is designed to tell you about CAS’ practices in relation to the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal information.

Collection Notice
The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (CAS) is collecting your personal information (including your name, contact details (such as phone number and address), demographic information (such as age and occupation), financial information (such as credit card details) and photographs, videos and stories) so that we can:
- contact you;
- enable you to participate in offers or promotions;
- provide you with services and information; and
- receive offerings and donations from you.
We will also use the contact details you have provided us to send you marketing information and materials related to our activities, functions and initiatives, including, where you have opted in, via email or other digital communications.
CAS generally collects personal information directly from you via our website, or when you otherwise contact and correspond with us (eg over the phone, via email or in person). Where it is not practicable to collect personal information from you, we may also collect personal information from publicly available sources of information, and, where you have provided your consent, from third parties.
If you do not provide us with the personal information we have requested, we may not be able to provide you with services or accept donations from you, to the extent that they require us to collect, use or disclose personal information.
CAS may disclose your personal information to our related entities, contractors providing services to us and to other third party service providers (such as mailing houses) we use in conducting our business.
We may also disclose your personal information where we are required or authorised by Australian law to do so (including the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cth).

Refund Policy
Sydney Catholic Business Network Membership Terms and Conditions
The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (CAS) is the organiser of the Sydney Catholic Business Network (SCBN). The SCBN is a platform for business professionals, community leaders, government representative, and Catholic leaders to connect, discuss relevant issues, and collaborate on contemporary challenges.
The SCBN hosts regular events, such as luncheons, featuring high-calibre speakers who address important issues of the day. Membership to the SCBN (Membership) is open to all individuals who share our Christian values.
The Membership fee for an individual is AUD$620.00 including GST.
The Membership entitles you to four luncheons per calendar year, as well as the members-only networking event.
Corporate memberships, including discounted rates for up to 10 staff from the same organisation, are available on request.
To become a member, simply fill out the Expression of Interest form on the website at https://www.ourfaithourworks.org/scbn/. Once received, our team will review and may contact you to fill out an application form.
By submitting your application to join the Membership and payment of the Membership fee, you agree to and accept the Membership Terms and Conditions below.
Membership Terms and Conditions (for individual members)
- Membership is valid for twelve months from the date of payment of your Membership fee.
- As a Member, you:
- are entitled to receive one complimentary ticket to attend each SCBN luncheon during the period of your Membership. The SCBN luncheon is held once per quarter.
- may purchase guest tickets for each luncheon on the condition that, if requested by CAS, you provide a reference for your guest.
- are eligible to attend a members-only networking event once a year.
- Membership is personal and non-transferable.
- Unless you have prior written permission from CAS, you must not broadcast or publicise matters discussed at SCBN luncheons, which are held under Chatham House rules. This includes, and is not limited to, social media activities, photography, videography and live-streaming.
- You must not engage in any conduct or activity that may bring CAS, or its related associations, into disrepute. Violation of this conduct rule may result in Membership suspension or termination.
- CAS reserves the right to refuse a Membership application or terminate a Membership at CAS’ sole discretion.
- You acknowledge that CAS and its nominees collect your personal information for purposes of organising SCBN events and activities, or where you have otherwise opted in to receiving communication. CAS may disclose my personal information to its related entities, contractors and third-party service providers for purposes relating to SCBN, including organising the SCBN luncheon. CAS’ privacy policy at https://www.sydneycatholic.org/terms-and-conditions/#privacy provides information about how to access and seek correction of personal information, how to complain about a breach of Australian privacy laws, and how complaints are dealt with.
- You agree that the laws of New South Wales, Australia govern these Terms and Conditions.
